President Donald Trump\u00a0wants to scrap America\u2019s star-studded 250th birthday concert, replacing it with a giant MAGA rally after launching a blistering attack on what he called \u2018boring\u2019 and \u2018overpriced\u2019 performers that \u2018nobody wants to hear.\u2019<\/p>

In a furious Truth Social post on Saturday night, Trump declared that the troubled Freedom 250 concert should be canceled and compared it to his increasingly bitter battle over the Kennedy Center.<\/p>

Trump claims the Kennedy Center is doomed following a federal judge\u2019s decision to\u00a0 block his efforts to reshape the iconic Washington arts venue.<\/p>

The extraordinary outburst marks the latest twist in the rapidly unraveling celebrations planned for America\u2019s 250th anniversary next month, with performers abandoning the event in droves amid political backlash and security concerns.<\/p>

Trump also used the post to lash out at US District Judge Christopher Cooper, who ruled Friday the administration could not proceed with plans to close the Kennedy Center for sweeping renovations and that officials had no authority to add Trump\u2019s name to the landmark institution.<\/p>

Trump said he wanted to cancel the concert \u2018just like\u2019 he canceled his involvement with the Kennedy Center following a federal court ruling<\/p><\/div>

The president accused Cooper of preventing him from carrying out what he described as a plan to restore the venue and said the judge \u2018should be IMPEACHED.\u2019<\/p>

The ruling represented another legal setback for Trump\u2019s efforts to leave a lasting mark on Washington\u2019s cultural landscape.<\/p>

Cooper concluded that the Kennedy Center board had exceeded its authority when it approved adding Trump\u2019s name to the institution and halted plans to shut down the venue for a multi-year renovation project.<\/p>

Trump had already signaled he was walking away from the project following the decision, saying he would return control of the institution to Congress rather than continue fighting restrictions on what he could do with the center.<\/p>

Now he appears ready to apply the same logic to America\u2019s 250th birthday concert.<\/p>

The rocker, 63, said he had been sold on the idea that the concert was \u2018a celebration of our country through music and a chance to honor our veterans,\u2019 but the politics surrounding the event had put his family, friends and bandmates at risk.<\/p>

He continued that the intention is to \u2018bring people together\u2019 rather than being a \u2018political thing.\u2019<\/p>
