I sat at my desk, lost in thought, when the office delivery guy appeared with a bright pink bakery box. \u201cGood afternoon, Emma! This is for you!\u201d he said with a grin.<\/p>\n

Curiosity got the better of me as I opened the box to find a cake with an unsettling message: \u201cI am divorcing you.\u201d Next to the message lay a positive pregnancy test.<\/p>\n

My heart sank. My husband, Jake, had found the test I\u2019d forgotten to hide. He thought I\u2019d cheated on him, but the truth was far more complicated.<\/p>\n

We\u2019d struggled with infertility for years, and Jake believed he was the problem. The doctors had told him he was infertile, but I hadn\u2019t given up hope.<\/p>\n

The words hung in the air. Jake\u2019s eyes searched mine, filled with confusion and disbelief.<\/p>\n

\u201cDarling, the doctors were wrong,\u201d I explained. \u201cYou have oligospermia, a condition where your sperm count is low, but it doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t have children.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jake\u2019s anger drained, replaced with tears of regret. \u201cI thought you cheated on me. I thought I couldn\u2019t give you what you always wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n

I watched as he crumbled, my heart aching. We\u2019d been through so much, and now we had a second chance.<\/p>\n

We stood there, wrapped in each other\u2019s arms, the weight of a pregnancy and a baby resting on our shoulders.<\/p>\n
